Five candidates for the Republican presidential nomination were in Pella Nov. 1 for a forum at Vermeer Manufacturing. Moderated by Gov. Terry Branstad, each candidate had 15 minutes to address his/her plan for the country in the area of manufacturing. Ten students attended the forum, some as representatives of Pella High Publications, the others as part of a government class project.
