Student’s thoughts on Super Bowl XLVIII

Super Bowl XLVIII is approaching fast, the first cold weather Super Bowl. The game is being held at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. The game this year is between the Denver Broncos, AFC, and the Seattle Seahawks, NFC.

The Broncos have won two Super Bowls, while the Seahawks are still hungry for their first win. The Seahawks have only made one appearance in a Super Bowl before.

Pella High students were surveyed for their prediction on who they think will win this year. The Broncos won a close one winning the pole 38-26.

“I think that the Broncos will win, but I am hoping for a close game to make it more interesting than the commercials,” said sophomore Klage Van Vark.

Many people today don’t care about the history of the game and who is playing in it, they only care about the break in between play, the commercials.

“I really like watching the Super Bowl because of the really funny commercials and the food that we have at the big party,” said sophomore Macy Nossaman.

The Super Bowl is Sunday at 5:30 p.m. on FOX.
