Top 5 Christmas Songs

Top+5+Christmas+Songs

Like all Christmas lovers, I started listening to festive Christmas music as soon as Halloween was over. So if you need some Christmas music recommendations, I can certainly help out. Here are my top five Christmas songs. Happy Holidays and enjoy!

1. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey
“All I Want for Christmas Is You” comes from Carey’s 1994 Merry Christmas album. It sold over four million copies around the world. Whenever this song begins to play, there is no force on Earth that can stop me from singing along. It has become a contemporary classic that can honestly be enjoyed year-round.

2. “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” by Michael Bublé
Michael Buble has reinvented the Christmas music game with his Christmas album in 2011. On this album was his cover of Johnny Mathis’ “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.” Nothing can get a person in the Christmas mood like a good Michael Bublé song.

3. “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” by Frank Sinatra
“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” was written for Judy Garland in Meet Me in St. Louis, a musical comedy in 1994. Sinatra released it with modified lyrics in 1948. With Sinatra’s smooth vocals, you can’t help but feel nostalgic for days of Christmas past. This classic song simply can’t be skipped.

4. “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby
This fan favorite first came from the musical Holiday Inn in 1942. It has since sold over 50 million copies and won an Academy Award for Best Song from a Motion Picture. In addition to all of this, it is the number one selling song of all time. All of this considered, it is no question as to why “White Christmas” is on my list.

5. “Last Christmas” by WHAM!
Despite the sad nature of this song, “Last Christmas” is a great song for Christmas merriment. English duo, WHAM!, released this Christmas anthem in 1984. Might I suggest this song if you are getting over a heartbreak during this time of the year.
