Being single on Valentine’s Day can be a real bummer, but it doesn’t have to be. 2019 is the year of self-love, so if you’re single this Valentine’s day, here are five snazzy things to do.
1. Take a nap
It’s no secret that today’s teenagers are chronically sleep deprived. I’d put a statistic here, but I doubt you need me to prove how tired we all are all the time. So if you’re alone this Valentine’s day, take an afternoon for yourself. Silence your phone, chug some ZzzQuil, and escape the world for a few hours.
2. Take a bath
There’s nothing more relaxing than a nice, hot bath. A shower works too if you’re into that. I personally love to use bath bombs, which you can get pretty cheaply at Walmart. I would also recommend trying Epsom Salts, which are also available at Walmart.
3. Cry
There is nothing better than a cry when you need it. It doesn’t matter what gender or age you are; we all need a good cry sometimes. So if you’re single this Valentine’s day, consider setting an hour or so aside to cry.
4. Hang out with friends
Being single on Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean you have to be lonely. It’s pretty hard to feel sorry for yourself when you’re out doing something fun with friends.
5. Watch a movie
A great movie can be a good way to escape your feelings, so pop in your favorite comedy or action movie, make some popcorn, and forget all of your problems.
