Activities to Try This Summer
Have a bonfire with your friends!
Now it doesn’t have to be a huge bonfire, but a fire would definitely lighten the mood. Having a bonfire could really bring you and your friends together for an amazing night filled with fun, laughter, and a ton of s’mores! While you’re at it, to “celebrate” the year, you could also burn all of your school supplies, just committing this year to the flames.
Find a new hobby
Now this could be really fun. This means you get to experiment with multiple different activities. You could try baking, and if that doesn’t work out, you can try skateboarding. But don’t just stop once you find something you like. Find something that you LOVE! Highschool is the perfect time to experiment with new things. You never know, you could find something that you want to take more professionally.
Get a hammock.
I think this is pretty self explanatory.
Work on yourself.
I am definitely going to try this, this summer! I think that you should feel comfortable in your own skin, always. And it doesn’t just have to be working out; it should also be taking care of yourself. Have a spa day or a shopping day with some friends. Spend some time outside and even try to make some new friends. You never know what a new person could bring to the table.
Go geocaching
Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a Global Positioning System receiver (GPS) or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches,” at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. I personally think geocaching is so much fun, and it so much more fun to do with friends and family. There are fun memories that you can make and there are so many laughs shared. Just don’t get frustrated too easily. Geocaching can get pretty hard sometimes.
Go camping
Now it doesn’t have to be an actual campsite; it could just be in your backyard with your friends or family. And it doesn’t have to be an expensive huge tent either. You can find a regular sized tent for around $50 at Walmart. And the great thing about buying a tent is that it is reusable, unlike a rental tent. While you go camping, you can do so many other activities as well. You can stargaze or play fun summer yard games.
