Taryn Peffers’s Senior Profile
Senior Taryn Peffers plan to major in biochemistry and forensic science. She plans to go to University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a part of their College of Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources.
“I can’t wait to be on campus and be involved in my Learning Community, Experience the Lab, where I will be living with other science majors and in the Forensic Science Club, ” said Peffers. “After having met with researchers from UNL’s Bee Lab, I am excited for the opportunity to aid in their research after having been asked to reach out to them once on campus,” Peffers said. “I am impatiently awaiting college as it is something new and exciting. It is a new challenge that is filled with doorways into all sorts of possibilities, and I have no idea where it’ll take me, only that it will be somewhere full of adventure.”
Before Peffers goes to college, she plans to spend her summer by showing her dairy goats around the country and working to save money for college.
Peffers advice for underclassmen is “allow yourselves to think not only about the present, but also the future. What you do now impacts what you can do later. This doesn’t just apply to schoolwork, but relationships and friendships as well.”
