Area Concert Roundup
As summer approaches, many of us will be looking forward to doing fun activities with friends. There are several concerts in the Pella area this summer that are worth checking out with your friends!
Zach Winters
When: July 14
Where: Pella, IA
Cost: Free
Winters is an indie folk artist that will be performing an acoustic show here in Pella this summer. His top songs are “Meant,” “Tonight,” and “Sometimes I Wonder.” This will be a small house concert that will highlight Winter’s acoustic capabilities.
Hinterland Music Festival
When: August 4-6
Where: Saint Charles, IA
Cost: $250 for three day pass (day passes sold out as of this writing)
The biggest music festival in Iowa is coming up soon! Headliners include folk-country star Zach Bryan, indie sensation Bon Iver, as well as burgeoning alt-pop virtuoso Maggie Rogers. Throughout the three-day festival’s run, other acts such as Noah Kahan, Wallows, and Del Water Gap. This unique experience is pricey, but the sheer number of acts performing helps to justify the cost.
Ed Sheeran
When: July 23
Where: Newton, IA
Cost: $112+
One of the most famous pop stars of our generation, Sheeran will be performing at the Iowa Speedway following the Zac Brown Band’s performance. Sheeran’s countless number of hits will sure to make a fun event, and there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.
