Top 5 Movies of This Summer

Top+5+Movies+of+This+Summer

This summer is full of movies to be seen, especially spin-offs. Last summer produced a masterpiece original Baby Driver; hopefully this summer, we’ll have some greats like that. Here is a countdown with the top 5 movies you should give a watch.

  1. Ocean’s 8

Ocean’s 8 is a spin-off of the Ocean’s series of movies. It’s about Debbie Ocean and 7 female thieves planning a heist at New York’s Met Gala to steal a $150,000,000 necklace. This to me sounds a little dry, but it’s coming out in June, so hopefully, more will be released. From the looks of it, it has a lot of money behind it, $70,000,000, which doesn’t always mean it’s good. It does though, have the acting power. Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway all-star in the movie, so if we would be critical about something, it’s definitely not the acting. We will have to wait and see with this one.

  1. Mission Impossible: Fallout

Action movies will be a staple on this list. It’s about Ethan Hunt and his IMF team.  As usual, something goes wrong. That is all this can be released, so this is another wait and see the movie. We will have to see if it holds up to the name of “Mission Impossible.”

  1. Deadpool 2

This is the much awaited Deadpool sequel. It is about the main character, Deadpool, saving a boy from some criminals. A great action movie with the expected humor, I would definitely give this one a watch, but be warned, it’s rated R.

  1. The Incredibles 2

Fifteen years too late! This movie has been years in the making, the first one being a Pixar classic. It is about Elastigirl going back into the superhero business while Mr. Incredible is at home to take care of the kids. You should definitely give this a watch.

  1. Solo: a Star Wars Story

This looks like the best Star Wars spin-off we’ll probably get. It’s a prequel that explains everything about Han Solo before A New Hope. It stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo and Childish Gambino as Lando Calrissian. If you only had to see one movie on this list, it would be this one.
