2022 Track Preseason

2022+Track+Preseason

Coming off an impressive 2021 season, the Pella High School Boys’ track team is looking to repeat its successful championship season. Last year’s team broke 5 school records and had 19 events compete at state, securing three first places. Replicating these numbers again will surely be a complicated task.

“We lost a lot of good seniors who brought this team energy,” said senior Nolan Clayberg.

The team certainly has a lot of big shoes to fill with losing a Westpoint and NDSU commit last year. However the team is still positive they are going to have a great season.

“Even though we lost a lot of talent this season. We’re confident that we have guys who can fill their shoes,” said senior Karl Miller.

The track team definitely has a lot of positivity floating around between their athletes. with the season fast approaching. According to senior Nick Rus there are a lot of guys who enjoy competing and pushing each other to be their best.

The Dutch are returning 14 runners from their 19 events that competed last season. With track season right around the corner, the Pella boys track team are looking to chase success this season.
