Jazz one will be competing at the state jazz competition on Tuesday, April 5. The competition will be held in Ames. Jazz one has prepared extensively, having morning practices (which take over an hour) 3 days a week. They will be performing multiple types of jazz, including slow blues. The Pella High School Jazz band won 1st place in state for the last two years, and they hope to be successful once again this year.
