Book Recommendations for Winter Break

Book+Recommendations+for+Winter+Break

As Christmas break nears, everyone will have a lot more time on their hands. While this time could be spent on your phone, sometimes it’s good to take a break and read a book. Here are my Top 5 book recommendations, for those who wish to kill time this winter break.

Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey

My Rating: 4.5/5

This book was definitely one of my favorites to read. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves romance novels. This book is very hard to put down, and I found myself reading the majority of it in one day. For me, that’s unusual. I know that for some people, that is normal. Either way, this is definitely an intriguing read, and I 100% recommend it.

One thing to know before reading this is that it can be a little hard to understand. This is because the author chose to switch between the two main characters, Fox and Hannah, POV’s. But instead of structuring when the POV’s change, they just change without any warning. So I did find this a little confusing, but other than that, this book was such a good read.

Purple Hearts by Tess Wakefield

My Rating: 3/5

I read this book because I absolutely loved the movie, and I was slightly disappointed. But that doesn’t mean this book is bad. The love story within this book is so good. But I will warn you, if you have trouble reading about stubborn characters, this might not be the book for you. The main characters are very stubborn, and that’s partly why my rating isn’t higher. But being able to see the character development was one of my favorite parts.

People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry

My Rating: 4.5/5

This was definitely one of my favorite books to read. If you absolutely love the friends to lovers trope, this is the book for you. In this book, every other chapter is a flashback to one of the past summers, and I found that a little bit confusing when I was reading. But other than that, this was such a good read and I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves romance stories.

It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

My Rating: 5/5

This was my absolue favorite book out of this list. This was such a good read. I would like to warn you.  This book is very good, but it’s very sad. I’m not a person who cries when reading books. But parts of this book had me either very close to tears or having actual tears. But just because it has sad parts doesn’t mean it’s not an amazing read. This book definitely gives you a rollercoaster of emotions, and it was so good. I would recommend this to anyone who lives for romance storylines.

If The Shoe Fits by Julie Murphy

My Rating: 4/5

This was such a cute book to read, and I absolutely loved all of it. This isn’t  hard or confusing in any way; I even found it to be a really quick read. I also found it hard to put down when I was reading it. This would be a good book to read if you’re looking for a short book over break. I definitely recommend this book.
