Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
Deb DeNooy- Panama City Beach, the water was so blue and the sand was so white and warm.

Cheryl Carey- My favorite place to travel is to visit family.

Deb Huisman- I traveled to Las Vegas in 1981 and liked it so much I moved there for 27 years.

Who was the biggest role model in your life? Why?
Deb DeNooy-It’s gotta be Jesus; no one else compares.

Cheryl Carey- My parents are my biggest role models because of the values they instilled and the good example they continue to provide.

Deb Huisman-My Mom. She taught me to be kind and helpful. I didn’t always listen to her,
but I should have.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you.
Deb DeNooy- I rode the train to Chicago with a terrorist.

Cheryl Carey – My great uncle was a German soldier in WW II. He was captured by the U.S. and served his time as a Prisoner of War in Algona, Iowa, just 20 miles from his brother (who was my grandfather). My grandfather immigrated to the U.S. from Germany approximately 20 year earlier.

Deb Huisman-I love to sneak into the auditorium when show choir is practicing. I also love
to play four point pitch and Farkel.

What advice do you have for the student body.
Deb DeNooy-Enjoy each day. It is a gift from God

Cheryl Carey- Smile, it can make a big difference in anyone’s day.

Deb Huisman-Pick up after yourselves! We love that! It is a good habit to get into for the rest of your lives!

What is the best part of your job?
Deb DeNooy-I love the kids and my coworkers; I believe it is a calling.

Cheryl Carey- The students!

Deb Huisman-Getting to see the kids grow up and become young adults. also getting to know the teachers.
